The oldest I've had one live till is nearly 7. But one of our guests Florence, died aged 9 years. She was rehomed from here aged 3 years to someone that prefers older guineas, she then went on to live for another 6 years in that home!
The CCT did a survey on CCT members a few years ago and the average age was from 4-6 years. 5-7 years has been quoted as another 'average'.
However, all Humans can do is make sure they live out the life they have been given be it 2 or 10 years; there is only so much an owner can do.
