It is with the utmost sadness that I tell you that Lennie (aka Lennie Potter, Pig minister of Feb `08 piggy PM) passed away in my arms in the early hours of this morning after an extremely short illness. Age:unknown. Lennie was a VIP because I "rescued" him from a miserable life, other choice was he would be released for the foxes to get him. This big guy has changed my life and opened my eyes to the plight of unwanted, unloved and ignored in the back garden piggies all over the country. Karen; you once told me every piggy has a purpose, Lennie sure did. I had to educate myself on how to care for his needs and I learnt so much. His purpose was to educate another human and to twist my heart around his little piggy paw. Now it is broken but never beaten and I will do what he wanted me to do...my best, to help guineas and their rescue slaves in whatever way I can. Lennie and I sharing a pear! Last photo taken of Lennie and I just a few days ago

Hi Fiona, so sorry to read this. Lennie is the spiky star on Planet Guinea that you can't see until you look hard, then you can't miss him I'm so glad he used his his purpose well, look what he's got his Human doing now at the Piggie PMs That second pigture of you both is especially lovely I think, shows the real bond you had. Did he live with anyone?

No Karen, he was a lone boar for the last year. He had been a lone pig always until I adopted him I believe, upon advice I bonded him with Timmy which was a no go, then Georgie and he gave him short shift too! He was happy living alone but he was surrounded by 10 other piggies plus David & me, who he knew had a special soft spot for him.
He was virtually free range, the only one of my pigs to venture afar- I would call him when I came home and he could come out of anywhere!! A character till the end-He will be sorely missed. Now buried under a buddleja bush.
I hate not knowing how old he was-how could anyone not know how old their pet is? it's beyond me. The woman who was going to put him out for the foxes said he was 6 months, I now know he was a lot lot more. Best estimate is 5-7 years old.
Also, as he took his last breath, Fifi who lives above him, chirruped for 2 minutes solid.
These are amazing animals.
