Willow sticks are safe to give to guinea pigs, though willow does contain anatural aspirin a lot would need to be consumed before it had any effect.
I don't have willow sticks for the guineas here because they are mostly left with no notice being taken of them. Often there is one guinea that will have a nibble but in my opinion the money is better spent on hay.
They do like freshly picked apple twigs, I've never tried any of the commercial apple sticks you can buy.

When you say freshly picked apple sticks if they are picked now are they still classed as ok? I have a friend who has a small tree with eating apples on(all gone over now) I am sure they would allow me to have some twigs.

At this time of year I would just be careful of Fungal problems on the tree, and only give occasionaly. Mine tend to get fed up with them though once the novelty's worn off Have never tried them at this time of year.
