The minimum size for housing as outlined in the Animal Welfare Act 2007 is 4 foot by 2 foot minimum for 2 guinea pigs. This was recommended by the RSPCA to DEFRA. The metric equivalent is 120cm by 60cm.
We will measure you C+C grid pens individually as they are often a different shape to the regular ones. Please contact us regarding housing before going out and spending your money. Unfortunately DEFRA have not yet added the RSPCA recommended size to the Animal Welfare Act. However, we believe if anything 'becomes law' this minimum size will and do not accept anything below it. I can put you in touch with suppliers that do have suitable cages. In the near future their details will go on here
