Gorgeous Guineas recommend that guinea pigs under 12 weeks should not be bathed. However this does not mean that at 12 weeks they will desperately need bathing! This is just the youngest advisable age. Guinea pigs under this age should only be bathed where there is a serious skin problem. At RGPR I have only used the Mini Pig shampoo on one occasion where there were lice present and the pigs were 3 weeks old and stained with urine Ordinarily I wait until after the twelve weeks as the pigs are clean enough. Even some fungal pigs that were under 12 weeks received theLavender and Myrrh lotion as opposed to a full on CocoNeem Melt, the Gorgeous Guineas lotion cleared up the problem a treat See www.gorgeousguineas.co.uk for products.
